Identify and explain choice of music genre

I have chosen to theme my music magazine on the genre of classic rock music. I have chosen this genre as it is my personal favourite type of music. It is also because this a relatively niche genre of music. During research on the internet, I did not find many existing magazines about the genre compared to magazines about pop, rap, dance music etc. This means there is less competition and a potentially larger audience.
